About PaydayPERX
PaydayPERX began in 1999 under the name Chek Solutions, reflecting its original association with paper payroll checks. From the beginning, the company's goal for success was to make other businesses successful - a goal that continues to drive every decision we make today.
Our primary business model has been to supply FREE payroll and direct deposit stock to staffing companies, Payroll services and businesses that ran their own payroll. Many businesses saved an average of more than twelve thousand dollars per year in printing costs by using our checks, provided to them at not cost, and those are savings right off the cost-of-business bottom line. So the stock was free, and printing was paid for by the coupon and image advertisers on the paper stock. For most advertisers this had the effect of printing coupons on actual money - employees were much more eager to use the coupons on payday than any other time, because they knew they had the spending money available. And businesses liked being able to not only save on their check stock but to provide a little payday perk, if you will, in the form of discounts and coupons associated with Payday. Employees benefitted directly by getting exclusive discounts and coupons printed right on their paycheck stubs.
As time went by, however, more and more businesses have been moving to paperless stock; we realized that we needed an electronic medium that could be customized rapidly, scaled easily and operated without major expense. The solution was the creation of customizable websites specific to each participating employer, staffing company or payroll firm, offering hundreds of special discounts to employees (rather than the five or six on the paper checks.
Currently PaydayPERX provides a free employee-retention benefit via these exclusive offers and discounts available to employees. Once again, advertisers are happy to subsidize the program in order to reach an eager payday audience - this time via a link on an electronic check and/or a link from employer intranets, which are understandably very desirable placements.
Our business has two distinct but complimentary components. First, our electronic advertising via customized websites provides discounts for your employees from hundreds of online merchants. Whereas our paper format alone limits us to no more than six coupon offers per print run - meaning a three month supply or more of checks - the electronic format and the incredible flexibility of the internet enable us to bring literally hundreds of discounts and exclusive offers to employees all at once - so many that they need an entire website to display them. And while printed coupons are by necessity long-term and 'nonperishable' offers, many of the online discounts we offer change daily or weekly because of our open-ended arrangements with advertisers.
The second component of our mission is to provide innovative advertising solutions inside the corporate border. While the first component addresses our relationship to the end-user of our discounts, this component addresses the advertisers themselves, and its scope ranges well beyond the internet and placement on our internet sites customized for individual companies. Printing on paychecks was actually an example of this very thing - essentially, giving advertisers access to virtually untapped placements within businesses - or without the ad-speak, reaching people at work or because of their work, rather than trying to catch them at home or on the road. Traditional advertising must attempt to make an impression amid the background chatter of thousands of other messages. But placements within the borders of the workday have much less competition, and when placed with the utmost respect for worker privacy and productivity, we have found remarkable increases in advertising effectiveness in this environment.
So the name and the specifics of daily business may have evolved over the years, but our ultimate goal is and will remain the same - to succeed by bringing our partners and end-users even greater success.
