Frequently-Asked Questions

If you have a question, this Frequently-Asked Question page is probably the bet place to look first. Below we have compiled responses to the most common questions we receive via our feedback form. If you have a question for us to answer that is not addressed here, please fill out the feedback form and give us your question.

Q: How do I go to the merchant's site to browse or make a purchase?

A: All you need to do is click on the image itself - usually a square picture to the left of the offer's title and description, depending on the layout at your site. This will automatically 'jump' your browser to the merchant's site with all necessary enabling codes passed as well (you might see them in the URL area briefly before you land at the merchant's site). Please note that some offers do require coupon codes to be entered at the checkout, and sometimes these codes do have certain disclaimers - for example, Overstock.com often excludes CD and DVD media from their $_ off of $_ _ _ offers, so if you are purchasing items that are not part ofthe offer, then the discount will not be taken at the checkout.

Q: An offer I wanted to use isn't listed on the site any more. Why?

A: Almost all of the offers have some expiration date set on them. Many - most, in fact - of the offers appear on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, and once they expire they no longer are displayed on your site to avoid the confusion of trying to use an offer that is no longer valid. Merchants reserve the right to expire an offer at any time, however, so it is possible you may find an active ad that leads you to an inactive offer. Normally, anything inactive will be taken down automatically, but something may have slipped past the automated system if you've found one, so please send us feedback to that effect. If the expiration date is known in advance, it should be mentioned in the ad description on your PaydayPERX site, and it may also be mentioned on the merchant site when you land there to browse or make a purchase.

Q: I made a purchase but my discount was not reflected in my final price. Why?

A: Automation greatly reduces mistakes but it doesn't eliminate them, unfortunately. First, you need to ensure your purchase met the conditions given, if any, for the discount to be enabled. Often this is a minimum purchase price, which is for merchandise only - shipping and tax do not count towards the cutoff amount. For instance, $10 off of $50 will not be enabled if the merchandise is $45 and the shipping is $10. Free shipping is also a common offer that requires a minimum purchase amount, or it may be restricted to certain items. Second, the offer may require a coupon code - if so this will be noted clearly in the ad description on the PaydayPERX page--coupon codes are not mentioned on the merchant pages because they reflect exclusive offers not available to anyone else. Third, there may be a problem with the merchant's checkout system. If you have verified the restrictions on the offer and you are still not receiving a discount that you have qualified for, your first recourse is to the merchant themselves. Contact them using their customer support phone or email, and most likely they can resolve an issue for you promptly. If you are still not able to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, however, feel free to contact us using our order assistance form. Provide us as much information as you can about your order, including what the error or problem is, your invoice number, the date of the purchase, the dollar amount of the sale, and the name or names of any customer service representatives you have been working with prior to contacting us. We will work to resolve your problem to your satisfaction in as timely a manner as possible.

Q: I can see the description of the offer, but there's no picture to click, or it's showing a broken link. Why?

A: Offer display failure comes from two basic conditions - something blocking the images on your end, or something blocking the images on our end. If you have never been able to see the offer images, chances are it's the first type of problem: A firewall or configuration issue on your end is preventing the images from displaying. Configuring your firewall to properly see the images from various sites is beyond the scope of the direct assistance we can give, because your own IT professionals have set up your firewall in a specific way for your own security and data protection. What you can do is call us at 614-444-2435 or give us your feedback about the existence of this problem, and we can get in touch with your IT professionals to try to sort it out and/or change some settings on our end to permit you to use your site to its fullest extent.

If you used to be able to see the images, but for some reason you can't see one or many, or all of them now, it's probably a problem with the graphic on our end or the merchant's end if they host their own images. First, try refreshing the page - use the refresh button in your browser (hold the shift key down while clicking on the 'refresh' button for a clean refresh). Sometimes small interruptions somewhere between our servers and your computer can cause images to hang, but a refresh will set them right. If they still don't appear, make sure your company security settings haven't changed - try viewing the same page from a different computer at your location, and if the ads don't appear there either, refer to the solution given above - let us know and we'll sort it out with your IT personnel. If you still have ads that aren't showing, please give us a call at 614-444-2435 or give us your feedback and we'll look into the problem and try to reproduce and fix it here. If the error is coming from the merchant's site we'll notify them of the problem. And you can access your site from home, work, a wifi hotspot, and any computer on the internet, so if you have a single location where the site just doesn't work, hopefully you can still get to it from a different location.
